surgery.

the FINGER.

tuesday the 27th i went to the hand doctor. 

on my left ring finger i tore the ligament running up and down next to my middle finger...it then pushed the top half of my finger over and broke the bone in the bottom of my finger. 

so then the doctor put this on...

he said i would probably need surgery but he wanted to try to move it back into place. so on thursday he sent me to a hand therapist to try and make a splint that would move the top half of my finger over. he tried 3 different splints...none of them worked. if the splint worked, i wouldn't need surgery! so i left pretty disappointed. the hand therapist just put this on...

 later the doctor called and said that i needed surgery. waaahhh!!! :// sad day. really sad day. he told us that if i waited until after the cruise i could lose 60% of my motion so he thought surgery was a good idea.

yesterday...monday, april 2nd i got surgery at 9 in the morning. 

scariest thing of my life!!!

 yes...i know your jealous!!! :) i felt like a total babe!!!

i had to get an iv...yeah that was also scary....but i survived :) 

 finally the anesthesia dude came in. he put the anesthesia right in and within 10 seconds i was OUT!!! 

2 hours later i woke up to these 2 ladies. never have been more confused. i know one of the ladies had super cute hair tho :)

they then rolled me into my parents and i felt sicker than a dog. head ache. stomach ache...not fun!!

whenever i stood up i thought i was going to die. after i ate some food i felt a little better...by 3 we finally left the hospital :) 

i got 2 screws...

 and this...

i got home and still didnt feel amazing. threw up once. yuckkkk!! i guess the anesthesia didnt settle too well with me...just like my dad!

i will not be able to do anything with it for like 5-6 weeks :/ no swimming on the cruise!!! :( but its okay i still will have a ball and i am planning to get way tan haa :) 

today i feel better...good not great! still kinda lousy!

lets hope this is a speedy recovery and i will be better in no time!
